The West Blocton Coke Ovens Park Tinsel Trail is a display of live Christmas trees sponsored and decorated by businesses, organizations, groups and individuals. Tress will be available to the public for viewing starting on November 20th at 6:00-9:00 p.m. After this date, trees can be viewed during regular park hours from 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. daily and at night every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday until December 26th from 6:00-9:00p.m. There is no charge for admission to the park.

Please consider sponsoring a tree for your company, school, or non-profit organization and help make West Blocton Coke Ovens Park Tinsel Trail 2015 shine! Want to by a T-shirt?

T-shirts can be ordered at the West Blocton City Hall. All shirts are $15 and orders must be placed by November 11, 2016. The T-shirt design can be seen here.

Awards

The following awards will be given. Presentation of the awards will take place at the Cahaba Lily Center immediately following the West Blocton Christmas Parade.

Talk of the Trail Award – This award will be given to the tree with the best theme.

Tiger Pride Award – People in Bibb County are enthusiastic in their support of our schools. This award will be given to the best school-related tree supporting the West Blocton Tigers.

Choctaw Pride Award – It’s worth repeating that people in Bibb County are enthusiastic in their support of our schools. This award will be given to the best school-related tree supporting the Bibb County Choctaws.

Coke Ovens Park Award – We describe the West Blocton Coke Ovens Park as a “blending of history and nature.” In that spirit, this award will be given to the tree with the best nature or history-related theme.

Snowflake Award – This award will be given to the most unique tree.

Community Favorite – You decide who wins this award! Voting will take place online and will open the same day the Tinsel Trail does – November 20! Check back for details on how to vote for your favorite tree.
